A MESSAGE FROM EAGLECOM'S GROUP COMMANDER
LTC VICENTE L LLAVE JR PAFR (GSC)
Welcome to EAGLECOM's official website!
Our key deployments from the pandemic were definitely one of the most eventful and demanding years of 124th PAF ARU. We are proud to have continued providing commendable service to the AFP through our own initiatives, equipments, and what is asked of us during the pandemic.
124th PAF ARU will continue to strive to be recognized as an asset in its chosen field of communication, not only to the Air Force Reserve Command but to the Philippine Air Force, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, as a whole.
As we prepare for a post-pandemic normal, we continue to support the AFP and live by the mantra: “Take the Lead, Soar as One”
We hope you get to learn more about what we do here at EAGLECOM and also inspire you to be the best that you can be for the greater good of all.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I apply to be part of 124TH PAF ARU EAGLECOM?
Recruitment announcements will be posted on our Facebook page. Follow and message us here
What are the requirements to apply?
To be eligible for membership, you must:
* Be a Filipino citizen.
* Be physically and mentally fit to undergo military training.
* Have completed at least high school education.
* Be between 18 and 64 years of age.
* Successfully pass the required psychological test and interview.
* Ideally, possess or be willing to purchase and learn how to use drone or radio communication equipment, as EAGLECOM is an equipment-based group.
Is there a Membership Fee for EAGLECOM?
Yes, there is an annual membership fee of PHP 1,200. This helps with the basic unit operations and communications equipment maintenance.
If I join EAGLECOM, does that automatically make me a reservist in the Philippine Air Force?
No. Membership in EAGLECOM is separate from becoming a military reservist and EAGLECOM has a strict vetting process. While EAGLECOM, as a Philippine Air Force Affiliated Reserve Unit, has a process of vetting and endorsing candidates, reservist status with the Philippine Air Force Reserve is only granted after you successfully complete the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) Program at one of the designated Air Force Reserve Centers.
What is the process to become a reservist in the Philippine Air Force after joining EAGLECOM?
After becoming a member of EAGLECOM, you can express your interest in becoming a reservist. EAGLECOM will vet and endorse qualified candidates for training slots at our partner Air Force Reserve Centers, located in Pasay (Villamor Air Base) in Metro Manila, as well as in Cebu, and Davao. You will then need to qualify for and successfully complete the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) Program to receive your reserve serial number and become an official member of the Philippine Air Force Reserve.
What are the expectations during the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) Program?
During the BCMT Program, you should expect rigorous training conducted every weekend for 4 to 6 months. This includes lectures on military subjects and physical training exercises. The program culminates in a challenging three-day field training exercise.
I have ROTC training or a Master's degree. Will this accelerate my rank after completing BCMT with EAGLECOM? No. EAGLECOM follows a different capability merit system. After you successfully complete the BCMT Program, your initial rank will typically be Sergeant (Sgt), Staff Sergeant (SSG), or Technical Sergeant (TSg), based on EAGLECOM's evaluation of your performance and fit.
How long does it typically take to become a reservist after joining EAGLECOM?
The timeframe can vary. It depends on when you are vetted and endorsed by EAGLECOM, the availability of training slots at the partner Reserve Centers (which is usually 1-2 times a year and divided among the NCR, Cebu, and Davao teams), and the duration of the BCMT Program (4-6 months).
Do you need to be a drone pilot or have a radio/communications license to be part of 124TH PAF ARU?
No, it is not required. However, you will be required to purchase a radio upon graduation. On average, the secured network radio communication devices we use cost at least PHP 7,000 to PHP 10,000 and are subject to data subscription fees depending on the device model.
How can I support 124TH PAF ARU?
You may follow us on Facebook for our latest programs or visit eaglecomph.org/support to learn how you can help provide an on-ground communications system during critical disasters - even when telco towers are down.
Do reservists get a salary or allowance?
No, being a reservist is purely voluntary and does not include any form of monetary payment.
Will we be provided with equipment?
No, we will not provide any equipment. All equipment and fees are the responsibility of the member.
What are the benefits of joining the 124TH EAGLECOM unit?
Joining the 124TH EAGLECOM unit offers a volunteer opportunity to directly contribute to your community and the strengthening of the Philippine Air Force. You'll be a part of a unit training in modern technologies like drones, radio communications, and FPV systems, all crucial for disaster response and other vital missions. After completing BCMT, you'll receive a standard-issue battle dress uniform, becoming part of a dedicated team that serves beyond their professional careers. This is a unique chance to leverage your technical abilities to make a tangible difference and bolster the capabilities of the PAF.
Is there an age requirement?
At least 18 years of age but not more than 64 years old
What are the physical fitness requirements?
You must be mentally and physically fit for BCMT. The training includes physical fitness exams and you will be asked for a medial clearance stating that you are fit for training before the three-day field training exercise (FTX) is required.

I joined the drone team because I felt that I wanted to enhance my purpose of flying not just for leisure and business but also for humanitarian assistance. I am glad that I have accomplished something significant, to redeem myself, despite this pandemic struggles. From this day onwards, I am ready to fulfill the on-call duties assigned by the PAF Reserve Unit.

Fulfilling my duties and responsibilities as a reservist gives meaning and purpose to my life. To sacrifice one’s life for the benefit of other people and of the country is a reflection of an unconditional love and service rendered as public servant. I will always be thankful for the opportunity to use my radio communication skills and be part of EAGLECOM unit!
